About Me
Based in Norfolk, Virginia. A learning IT specialist with a strong interest in infrastructure, identity, security, and systems administration.
My name is Kerby Brian Guillaume, a graduating student at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity. I plan to use this degree to expand my career into Information Technology and ultimately serve as a Cybersecurity Engineer. I’ve always engaged in technology despite where I’ve worked at, as working with tech has always been a passion of mine. As well as handling systems, one experience that influenced my career direction was working in a warehouse environment. While the job was not directly related to IT, it taught me the importance of efficiency, organization, and problem solving. I often worked with inventory systems and technology that helped track products and operations. Seeing how businesses depend on technology to manage daily tasks sparked my interest in learning more about the systems behind the scenes and eventually led me to explore careers in IT and cybersecurity. Now, I spend my time building projects and documenting my progress to sharpen my technical skills in addition to gaining practical experience for real world IT environments. This portfolio I have put together documents the systems I build, the problems I encounter, how I troubleshoot them, and what I learn along the way.
